Helping you achieve your peaks and navigate your valleys
Whether you are battling with chronic anxiety or depression, are going through a major life transition, or simply wanting to engage in self-development and introspection, individual therapy can help you expand and heal.
Romantic partnerships take hard work - and that is when things are going well! Relationship therapy can be beneficial for partners facing struggles in communication, intimacy, who are considering separation, or are considering committing to each other long term.
Teen Therapy with Family Support
When working with teenagers, it can often be beneficial to include parents or guardians in aspects of the session. It is a common experience of teens that great change is expected of them, and while individual therapy can be extremely helpful and empowering, by occasionally including parental figures in the therapeutic work, greater systemic change can happen.
Mary Howland, MA, LMFT
As a Washington state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and a graduate from Antioch University Seattle’s Master's in Couple and Family Therapy program, I have been working with individuals, couples, and families since 2017. As a systems therapist, I believe that we are all impacted by the various systems we interact with: our families, communities, school systems, government systems - just to name a few. Understanding that the problems we face on a personal and relational level are most often impacted or influenced by these systems can help reduce feelings of alienation, isolation, and shame. While I use an anti-oppression framework, often employing a narrative approach, I believe therapy is a co-creative process and I work with my clients to find the approach that best suits their unique needs.

I am currently accepting clients at my office in Madison Valley, with weekday availability. Currently, due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, I am also seeing clients via Telehealth.
My rate is $165 for a 50 minute session.
I am happy to provide a bill that you can send to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, as I am currently out of network for insurance providers.
